A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW,
TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO TWO (2) SALES
CONTRACTS FOR THE PURCHASE OF WATER WELL SITES AND THE
DEPOSIT OF EARNEST MONEY WITH COMPLETION OF THE PURCHASE
SUBJECT TO PRELIMINARY DRILL TESTS.
WHEREAS, by passage of Ordinance No. 81-2456 the City Council
allocated funds for the development of two additional water wells for
the City's waterproduction system; and
WHEREAS, two-locations have been selected and appraisals have been
made as follows:
1) A 0.4821 acre tract out of Twenty-six (26), Block JK-2,
Hale County, owned by John Joe Kirchoff and wife, Mary
Virginia Kirchoff, located in the northwest part of
Plainview, which has an appraised market value of $2,890.60.
2) A 0.3587 acre tract out of Survey No. 28, Block JK-2, Hale
County owned by Westridge Development, Inc. located in the
southwest part of'Plainview, Which hasan appraised value
of $2,896.60.
WHEREAS, the property, owners have agreed to the sale of this land
to the City of Plainview for the purpose of Water Well Sites and the
City has agreed to put up earnest money in the amount of 10% of the
purchase price with the balance being paid at the time of sale pending
preliminary drill test:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of
the City of Plainview, Texas that the Mayor be authorized to enter into
sales contracts for two (2) parcels to be used as water wellsites and
authorize the placement of earnest money in the amount of 10% of the
purchase price with the balance being paid upon satisfactory completion
of preliminary drill test.
