TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER ~ AN AG~T ON
BEHALF OF THE CITY OF PLAINViEW WITH THE STATE DEPARTMENT
OF HIGHWAYS AND TRP~NSPOR~ATION FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAFETY
LIGHTING ALONG U.S. INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 27 ON LOOP 445 SOUTH OF
PLAINVIEW TO LOOP 445 NORTH OF OF PLAINVIEW.
WHEREAS, for the welfare and safety of the motoring public, it
is necessary that safety lighting be installed on and along 1-27
as it passes through the Plainview city limits; and
WHEREAS, the State Dept. of Highways and Public Transportation
of the State of Texas has proposed an agreement dated October 12, 1982,
between the State of texas and the City of Plainview for the installa-
tion, construc~ion, existence, use, operation and maintenance of a
highway illumination project in and along 1-27 within the City of
Plainview: and providing for the execution of said agreement.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COLEqCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINV1]U~:
SECTION 1. That the certain Agreement dated October 12, 1982
between the State of Texas and the City of Plainview for the installa-
tion, construction, existence, use, operation and maintenance of certain
highway illumination located in and along 1-27 in the City of Plainview
be, and the same is, hereby approved; and that Mayor E.V. P~dlehuber is
hereby authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of the City of
Plainview and to transmit the same to the State of Texas for appropriate
action.
