A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF 5%IE CITY OF
PLAINVIEW, TEXAS ACCEFIq/%~ BIDS AND AUTHORIZING
THE PURCHASE OF VEHICr_~S IN THE CITY FF.~.
WHEREAS, in order for the City of Plainview to provide
services to the citizens, it has be. cc~e necessary to replace three
vehicles in the city fleet;
WHERE~, specifications are drawn and on October 11, 1982 at
10:00 a.m. bids were received from four firms of Plainview; and
WHEREAS, after review of the bids by the staff, the following
recommendations were made:
1)
The purchase of one (1) 1983 GMC Sierra 1/2 ton long-wheel
base, V-8 Enginee pickup from McGavock Pontiac for
$7,959.09.
2) One (1) 1982 ford F-150 1/2 ton, V-8 engine pickup from
Jack Morris for $7,330.
3) One (1) 1983 GMC Sierra C-60 2 ton cab & chasis in the
amount of $14,150.27 from ~Gavock Pontiac.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of
the City of Plainview, Texas that these purchase be awarded to the above
stated businesses which have submitted the lowest and best bids for
replacement of the three (3) vehicles in the city fleet.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 12th day of October, 1982.
