A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLAINVIEW, TEX~ ~INDING RESOLUTION NO. R82-544
AND ACCEPTING BIDS AND AUTHORIZING T~E PURCHASE
OF VEHICLES IN THE CITY FLEET.
WHEREAS, on October 12, 1982 the City Council of the City of
Plainview authorized the purchase of three vehicles in the City fleet;
WHEREAS, when the City Staff inspected the one 1982 F-150 1/2 ton
V-8 engine pickup at Jack FDrris Ford it was discovered that numerous
exceptions to the specifications had not been indicated; and
~{EREAS, due to the cost of ordering and installing ~ecified
equipment in in this pickup which would make it c~ly with
specifications the Staff now rec~i¥~nds purchasing both pickups from
Steve McGavock Pontiac, who submitted the lowest and best bid meeting
all specifications:
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of
the City of Plainview, Texas that Resolution No. R82-544 be amended and
awarding the purchase of two 1983 GMC pickups frcm Steve ~Gavock
Pontiac.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 27th day of October, 1982.
