RESOLUTION NO. 82- 548
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLAINVIEW ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING A CONTRACT
FOR THE LIGHTING OF M~JLTI-PURPOSE COURTS AT E.& E.
GIVENS PARK.
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council authorized the preparation of
plans and specifications and receipt of bids for a lighting system for
the Multi-Purpose Courts at E. & E. Givens Park; and
~{EREAS, the invitation for bids were duly advertised; and the
City of Plainview received five (5) competitive bids on November 1,
1982, and
WHEREAS, after review of these bids, the Staff has determined that
the lowest and best bid is Wesley Electric Company in the amount of
$11,704.00;
NOW, THEREFOR~ BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the
City of Plainview, Texas that a contract be entered into between the City
of Plainview and Wesley Electric Company for the installation of a lighting
system for the Multi-Purpose Courts at E. & E. Givens Park and payment for
said contract to be made from the 1976 G.O. Park Bond Fund Account.

Bids were 6pened at lO:O0 A.M., Monday, November 1, 1982 for the Multi-Purpose Court Lighting System
at Givens Park, Eight (8) invitations for bids were mailed or picked up by local contractors. Five
(5) bid proposals were received.
2. The Bid Proposals submitted by each company are as follows:

I would respectfully recommend to the Mayor and City Council that the Bid from Wesley Electric Company
be accepted as the lowest and best bid with regard to both cost and time of completion.
