A RESOLUTION OF ~ CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLAINVIEW, TEXAS APPROVING A R~iSED PARKS PLAN
AND BUDGET FOR THE EXPENDITtIRES OF PARK BOND FUNDS,
WITH ~RkTCHING FUNDS FROM THE TEXAS STATE DEPT. OF
PARKS AND WTTDT,TI~PJ~.
WHEREAS~ in 1976 the citizens of Plainview voted General
Obligation Bonds to make improvements on park lands within the
com~nity; and
WHEREAS, grant funds are available frc~ the Texas Dept. of Parks
and Wildlife which can be used as matching funds for the c~-~letion of
three parks those being, Givens Park, Lakeside Park, and Frisco Park;
and
I, RIEREAS, a revised budget of $239,980 has been proposed to carry
out the completion of these three parks:
NOW, %ttEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the
City of Plainview, Texas that the revised budget of September 1, 1982 be
approved and that the city staff be instructed to proceed with the
completion of these three psIks as outlined in the budget.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 23rd day of November, 1982.
