A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLAINVIEW, TEXB~ AIYI~ORIZING THE MAYOR TO
ENTER INTO AN ENGINEER/lqG ~ WITH PARKHTT.T.,
SMITH & COOPER, INC. FOR THE DESIGN SUPERVISION
OF AIRPORT ~4P~2~TS TO BE MADE AT THE PIA/ASiZEW
-HALE COUNTY AIRPORT.
WHEREAS, the Plainview/Hale County Airport Board bas applied for
and received approval of a Federal Aviation Construction Grant to be
used for the reconstruction of pav~t on Runway 13-31; and
WHEREAS, Runway 4-22 is badly deteriorating and in need of a seal
coat application for its preservation; and
WHERE~S, Parkhill, Smith & Cooper, Inc. has agreed to furnish
engineering services for these projects and their fee for reconstruction
of Runway 13-31 is an eligible grant expenditure, and airport revenues
should provide payment for Parkhill, Smith & Cooper's services on the
Runway 4-22 seal coating:
NC~, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the
City of Plainview, Texas, since the Plainview/Hale County Airport is a
jointly owned by tl~ City and County that the Mayor be authorized to
siqn on behalf of the City of Plainview the engineering agreement with
Pa~khill, Smith & Cooper, Inc. of Lubbock for the engineering services
to be performed on the above specified projects.
