A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COL%K2IL OF THE CITY OF
PLAINVIEW, TEXAS ACCEPTING BIDS AND AUTHORIZING
THE PURCHASE OF WATER WORKS MATERIALS.
WHEREAS, the Water Utility Division of the City of Plainview
is in need of extending the water main in and along Southwest 3rd Street
in order to give multi- source service to the Westridge Park Addition of
the ~ity; and
WHEREAS, specifications were drawn and on November 30, 1982 at
10:00 A.M. and on December 8, 1982 at 10:00 A.M., bids were received and
opened for Water Works Materials necessary for the line installation;
and
~E~EAS, after review of the bids by the Staff the following
recom~en~tions are made:
1) AC Pipe, Alternate Bid of Trans-Tex Supply Co. of Odessa
in the amount of $13,802.33.
2) Gate Valves 4", 6", 10" awarded to C & C Municipal Supply
Inc. of Lubbock in the amount of $1,039.29.
3) Cast-Iron Fittings & Valve Boxes awarded to C & C Municipal
Supply, Inc. of Lubbock in the amount of $1,667.52.
4) 12" Gate Valves awarded to Trans-Tex Supply Co. of Odessa
in the amount of $3,166.20.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLV~D BY THEMayor and City Council
that thepurchasebe awarded to the above stated businesses which have
submitted the lowest and best bids for the WaterWorks 5~terials and
authorized the payment of $19685.34 from the Revenue Sharing Account
9720=60809.
