A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COU~X~IL OF THE CITY OF
PLAINVI~, TEXAS EXPRESSING APPRECIATION, LOYALTY,
RESPECT AND ADMIRATION TO D/RECTOR, O.T. RYAN, HIS
STAFF AND THE PLAINVIEW HIGH SCHOOL MARCHING BAND.
~AS, the Plainvi~, High School Marching Band bas exhibited
a sense of total dedication and effort throughout the 1982 season; aox~
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council of the City of Plainview
want to express appreciation and recognize Band Director, O.T. Ryan who
is in his 33rd year of service to the Plainview School System and who
this past suamer was honored by the Texas Bandmaster's Association and
w~s named Bandmaster of the Year; and
WHEREAS, the dedication and efforts of the Plainvi~v High
School Marching Band earned a first division in ~rching this fall being
the 44th consecutive 1st division in marching awarded to the Plainview
High School Band; and
WHEREAS, these honOrs bestowed on the Plainview High School
Band and their directors have brought recognition and a sense of pride
not only to Plainview High School but to our entire City~ and
WHEREAS, the Plainview High School Marching Band has earned
the loyalty, respect and admiration of the City of Plainview:
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY the Mayor and City Council of
the City of Plainview, Texas to express the appreciation, loyalty,
respect and admiration to O.T. Ryan, his staff, and the students of the
Plainview High School Marching Band.
