RESOLUTION NO. R82-557
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLAINVIEW, TEXAS AWARDING THE LOWEST AND BEST BI~
AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF PLAYGROUND
EQUIPMENT FOR LAKESIDE PARK.
WHEREAS, there is a need for additional playground equipment
in Lakeside Park; and
WHEREAS, $4,500 was budgeted for the purchase of playground
equipment in Lakeside Park; and
WHEREAS, $4,500 was budgeted from the 1980 Community Develop-
ment Funds for the Playground Equipment of Lakeside Park; and
WHEREAS, bids have been received and tabulated for the play-
ground equipment,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of
the City of Plainview, Texas to accept the lowest and best bids and award
the purchase contract to Modlin Recreation Equipment, Inc.
in the amount of $ 3,166.00
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE 28th day of December, 1982.

Playground Equipment Bids - Lakeside Park
I. Bid invitations were mailed to seven (7) suppliers and
six (6) bids were received and opened December 20, 1982
at 10:00 o'clock.
II. After reviewing the bids received, Modlin Recreation
Equipment, Inc. of Arlington, Texas is the apparent low
bidder at a total bid of $3,166.00. Other bids received
were either higher to total price or the company did not
bid all items.
III. I would recommend to you that the Mayor and City Council
approve and accept the bid of Modlin Recreation Equipment,
Inc. as the lowest and best bid, and that a purchase
contract in the amount of $3,166.00 be awarded.
IV. Copy of bid tabulation is attached for reference.
